About Us
Healing Species was founded in in 1999 by attorney Cheri Brown Thompson. The Violence Prevention through Compassion Educationâ„¢ curriculum is the first ever animal-assisted Violence-Prevention curriculum to be endorsed by a state board of education.
Visiting Your School
Healing Species of Texas has worked with hundreds of schools including special education, high-risk populations and juvenile detention facilities all over Texas. We have instructors located in various regions throughout the state.
